Martha Louise Richardson (Bildstein) Curry was born November 9, 1929 in Colorado Springs where she lived all her life until her peaceful death at her beloved home in Bear Creek Canyon August 15, 2010. She was the dearly loved wife of Edward Curry, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1997, and the proud mother of Ron Bildstein (Carole) of Syracuse, New York Manolo blahnik shoes and grandmother of Martin Bildstein, Syracuse, New York and John Bildstein, Denver, Colorado.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Bildstein, in 1952. Martha was the second of three generations to graduate from Colorado Springs (Palmer) High School and attended Colorado College for two years as a Delta Gamma Sorority Sister. The love of her life was bird watching which she pursued in extensive travel with her husband Ed throughout all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and 50 other countries on four continents around the world. In later life she was an active participant and frequent office holder replica rolex watches in Portia Club, Senior League, Springs Beautiful Association, Women's Educational Society, Pikes Peak Theater Organ Society, PEO, four local historical societies, and Audubon Society. She was a life-long learner and frequent attendee at classes and lectures throughout the community, particularly at Pillar, Colorado College and The Fine Art Center. Throughout her life, she championed many local environmental and civic causes and was a life-long nature aesthete. According to her wishes, her ashes will be interred at a family ceremony in Evergreen Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 21 at the Bear Creek Nature Center, large white handbags 245 Bear Creek Rd, Colorado Springs.
