Anniversaries

* The second pastoral church anniversary for Pastor Tina M. Beatty will be celebrated Thursday, Friday and March 7 at King of Glory International Ministries, 513 Patrick St. Speakers will be: 7 p.m., Thursday, Bishop Norman Jones of Greater Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle; Friday, Bishop Michael Austin Church of God MPG of Truth; at 11 a.m. March 7, Evangelist Mark Walker, Apostolic Lighthouse Deliverance Temple, Beckley; and 5 p.m. March 7, Apostle Robert Dixon of Salvation Praise Ministry International Worship Center, Morgantown.

* Brothers in Christ West Virginia will present "Calling All Men VIII - Pass the Torch ..." from 7 to 9:30 p.m. March 12 at the Summersville Armory and Conference Center, Summersville. Registration is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Speakers will be Sam Calloway Jr. and Carl Sellards. Calloway is founder, bishop and executive president of the Fatherhood Covenant. He is founder and pastor of Spirit of Truth Ministries in Oak Hill and is employed by the Fayette County Board of Education as an elementary physical education teacher. He is founding member and current president of Brothers in Christ West Virginia. Sellards is a graduate of Concord University and is retired from 30 years of pastoral ministry in the Free Methodist Church. He is a volunteer chaplain at Raleigh General and Beckley Appalachian Regional hospitals. He is founder of Brothers in Christ West Virginia. Music will be presented by Higher Ground Praise Band.

* The Carpenter Family will be performing a dramatic production of John the Baptist "Cry in the Wilderness" at 9:45 a.m. March 7 at Clendenin Advent Christian Church.

* Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St., will hold their annual Lenten luncheons at noon each Tuesday during Lent. The cost is $6 per person. Reservations are not required. Contact Lisa Martin at 304-42-0192, ext. 202 for information.

* Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 520 Kanawha Blvd. W., will show the film documentary "The Journey to Freedom" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The teacher workshop will begin at 4:30 p.m. and a reception will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by the documentary. The film is sponsored by the West Virginia Commission on the Holocaust Breguet Replica Watches Education and UUC. The film is about Martha and Waitstill Sharp, American Unitarian Universalists who risked their lives to save Europeans from the Nazis. * Fourteen artists have created a Stations of the Cross Meditation Center at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans. The Stations of the Cross will be open until Easter from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, Sunday afternoons during Lent or by appointment. A meditation booklet will be available. * King of Glory International Ministries, 513 Patrick St., will have a soul food dinner in honor of Black History Month at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church, immediately following the church service. Pastor Tina M. Beatty will speak.

* The second of five Lenten recitals will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans.
