LUDHIANA: A major tragedy was averted late on Thursday night when a short circuit lead to a fire on the first floor of the showroom of Om Parkash & Co situated in Clock Tower area.

Sub fire officer at the fire station near railway station, Jagdeep Krishan, said the fire originated in the multi- storied showroom due to short circuit.
