THE passions and memory of cancer suffer Christopher Gradon have been Replica Raymond Weil Watches kept alive by fellow enthusiasts. Model aircraft fan Christopher, died aged 33 in 2008 after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Before he became ill the warehouse operative with Sage UK began building a replica model of a Spitfire. And yesterday, on what should have been his birthday, his mother Carolyn held the first in an annual model-flying competition to keep her son's memory alive.
high heel shoesThe 57-year-old who lives in Meadow Lane, Dunston, said: "For the first event it went really well and I'm sure Christopher would have loved it. Visitors commented on how nice it was to see people sitting and making the kits, which is just what Christopher used to do when he was younger. " The event got its debut yesterday at the North East Aircraft Museum in Sunderland where Christopher's model is now on display along with a plaque telling visitors about his life.
Proceeds from the event, which are still coming in, will be donated to Marie Curie, which helped Christopher in the last days of his life.
